Who is responsible
Vesa Vainio is the data controller for this website. You can reach me at vesa (at) vesavainio.com.
What data I collect
When you send a message through the contact form, I receive your name, email address, company (optional), the project and interest you selected, and the content of your message. Providing this is voluntary, but I cannot reply without your name, email address and message.
This site does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
Why I use it
I use your details to read and reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to discuss possible collaboration. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and, where your enquiry concerns a possible agreement, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Who sees it
Only me. Your message is delivered to my email through my web hosting provider (Planeetta Internet, Finland) and my email service provider, who process it on my behalf. I do not sell your data, use it for marketing, or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Server logs
My web hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and time of visit, for security and technical operation.
How long I keep it
For as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting cooperation. If it does not lead to cooperation, I delete the message within 24 months of the last contact, unless the law requires me to keep it longer.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or erased, and to restrict or object to its processing. To use these rights, email me. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
